Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm
Veronika Grimm (Germany) has been full professor of economics, and Head of the Chair of Economic Theory at the School of Business and Economics,FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg since 2008. She is also Head of the Scientific Board of Energie Campus Nürnberg (EnCN), an interdisciplinary think tank that develops solutions for future energy systems. Prof. Grimm's research focuses on energy markets and energy market modelling, social networks, as well as topics in auctions and market design.
Professor Grimm is a member of the Member of the Board of Academic Advisors at the German Federal Ministery for Economic Affairs and Energy and the Advisory Council for Consumer Affairs at the German Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection. In addition she plays an active role in various committees and advisory boards.
After studying economics and sociology at the Universities of Hamburg and Kiel, she received her doctorate in economics with a thesis on topics in auction theory and mechanism design from Humboldt University at Berlin. Following that, Professor Grimm held positions in Alicante and Cologne and worked as a researcher in Brussels and Louvain la Neuve.
