EASAC has elected Thierry Courvoisier as new President

Professor Thierry Courvoisier, currently Vice-President of EASAC and President of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences, has been elected as next President of EASAC from 2017 to 2019. He will now act as President-elect and then succeed Professor van der Meer, whose term as President of EASAC ends in December 2016. Professor Thierry Courvoisier has been confirmed with 25 votes out of 29 of all EASAC members.
