Kateryna Kamyshnykova
Kateryna Kamyshnykova (Slovakia) is Head of the Division of Properties of Materials and Structures at the Institute of Materials and Machine Mechanics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS). She holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Her research focuses on the design, development, and advanced characterization of cast materials, with particular expertise in TiAl-based alloys, high-entropy alloys (HEAs), and complex concentrated alloys (CCAs). She brings extensive experience in melting and casting technologies, combined with a deep understanding of structure-property relationships. Under her leadership, her group conducts comprehensive materials characterization, from micro- and nanoscale structural analysis to mechanical performance testing, to address challenges in structural materials. She is dedicated to advancing next-generation alloys for demanding applications in green energy, aerospace, and beyond.
