In an interview with the New Breeting Techniques Platform, EASAC's Biosciences Programme Director Dr Robin Fears talks about our report on "Opportunities and Challenges for Research on Food and Nutrition Security and Agriculture in Europe" which is a contribution to a worldwide project initiated by the global network of science academies - IAP (InterAcademy Partnership). Our publication combines analysis of the current challenges for food and nutrition security and agriculture in Europe and an exploration of innovative solutions, such as NBTs and transdisciplinary research, as ways forward.
