Open workshop on energy storage in electricity grids
The EASAC working group on electricity storage held its 4th meeting on 23 / 24 March 2016 in Dublin, hosted by the Royal Irish Academy. The working meeting was preceded by an open workshop, which attracted ~150 registrants, and was attended on average by more than 80 experts throughout the day. Five invited experts and 6 members of the working group gave presentations, which led to lively discussions throughout the day.
The main messages from the open workshop were reviewed on the following day in a closed meeting of the working group, which agreed on the final structure and contents of the draft EASAC report, which is scheduled for completion by the end of May and for peer review and publication before the summer holidays.
